Roomies!
Coming to college as a freshman everyone is worried about coming in blind. Me personally, I thought it was going to be worse because my roommate is from Kalamazoo. I thought I was going to be left out because she already had her friends established. At first it was awkward and we had really nothing to say to each other. Now, her and I are like the best of friends! We get along so well.

Where I come from
To live in Saginaw one could compare it to Wall-street
Not in the scene that we were on top but we were better than before our “Crash”
Saginaw where you’d spend most times of your youngster years at Brockway or for a social gathering at the movies
Saginaw where you’d spend most of your holidays on the bridge or the island
Yep that was us living the true meaning of young, wild, and free
Saginaw where Myspace ruled our days
Your top 10 showing your true colors in so many ways
When the crash came things began to be a lot more different
And so did we, as we grew from our adolescence and that child like fun
Instead of petty enjoyment it was about, it became about getting intoxicated underneath the midnight sun
Saginaw where your sidewalks became cemetery grounds
Saginaw where Facebook is our news
Saginaw where the bullets fly and attention stays high
Like Wall-Street we to had a crash; with that people losing life

Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. Now all I hear is about how bad Saginaw is, and talk about people getting shot. When I was growing up, Saginaw was safe. I could go outside and play with the neighborhood kids without worrying about a driveby. I could chase the icecream truck and not have to worry about a stranger speaking to me. Just a few weeks ago I went to Saginaw. My bestfriend, Emma, and I love riding around blasting our music. Both of us cried as we rode through. That's home. Where I was born and raised. That was going to be the last time we would ever live in Saginaw. We were moving on to something bigger and better. College...
